Building a Community of Excellence
Guidance Guild began in 2008 when a small group of school counselors recognized the need for a professional community that transcended institutional boundaries. What started as informal monthly meetings in Chicago grew into a movement.
By 2012, we had formalized our organization and expanded to 10 chapters across the Midwest. The addition of career coaches and academic advisors enriched our community, bringing diverse perspectives and practices into our professional dialogue.
Today, Guidance Guild serves over 3,000 members across 50+ chapters throughout the United States and Canada. We've hosted hundreds of events, published countless resources, and most importantly, created a community where guidance professionals find support, inspiration, and practical tools to excel in their work.
